Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal has said that no negligence will be tolerated during anti-dengue campaign. He said that after recent rains, anti-dengue campaign should be further accelerated.
While addressing the meeting to review the arrangements of anti-dengue campaign at Civil Secretariat, Khizar Hayat Gondal said that all government departments should play their due role efficiently for protection from dengue during monsoon rains.
He stressed the need of working with dedication and determination for controlling dengue. He said that all DCOs should identify possible hotspots through geo-tagging in their respective districts and send data to Punjab Information Technology Board.
The Chief Secretary said that the problem of shortage of funds for necessary measures during anti-dengue campaign should be solved on priority basis. He said that provincial and federal governments should display exemplary coordination during anti-dengue campaign.
Khizar Hayat Gondal termed the performance of government departments with regard to anti-dengue arrangements satisfactory. Members Provincial Assembly Majid Zahoor, Mohsin Latif, Lubna Faisal, Chairman PITB Dr. Umar Saif, Commissioner Lahore Division, DCO and other senior administrative officers attended the meeting.
