Lahore: Chief Relief Commissioner Punjab and Senior Member Board of Revenue Nadeem Ashraf visited Sialkot. He inspected bunds, embankments and spurs of the river and nullahs along with the administration. He took briefing from the administration about the arrangements made in the district regarding flood and directed the administration to further improve arrangements to cope with any emergent situation. He said that low-lying areas should be regularly visited for meeting with any situation emerging as a result of rains and special arrangements be made for disposal of water from these areas.
Flow of water in all rivers and nullahs was normal throughout the province. According to a report issued by PDMA, flow of water was 111300 cusecs at Noshera in River Kabal. Flow of water was 485200 cusecs at Tarbela, 368171 cusecs at Kalabagh, 394906 cusecs at Chashma and 395857 cusecs at Taunsa in river Indus. Flow of water was 109230 cusecs at Mangla and 68719 cusecs at Rasool in River Jhelum. Flow of water was 117300 cusecs at Marala, 83931 cusecs at Khanki, 86569 cusecs at Qadirabad, 104150 cusecs at Chiniot, 112695 cusecs at Trimu and 101352 cusecs at Panjnand in River Chenab. Flow of water was 19200 cusecs at Jassar, 22800 cusecs at Ravi Siphon, 21800 cusecs at Shahdara, 24450 cusecs at Balloki and 32961 at Sidhnai in River Ravi.
Flow of water was 16035 cusecs at Sulemki, 3363 cusecs at Head Islam and 2180 cusecs at Mailsi Siphon in River Satluj. Flow of water was 1152 cusecs in Nullah Bain, 2429 cusecs in Nullah Aik, 1746 cusecs in Nullah Basantar and 1680 cusecs in Nullah Palkhu while water was flowing normally in other nullahs and water channels.
