Lahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Jawad Akram has said that survey of loss of property and livestock will be started after receding of water in flood affected areas. Besides SUPARCO satellite and land survey, this process will also be completed with third party, he added.
Jawad Akram said that district administration set up 120 relief camps in flood affected areas where meals are being regularly provided to 1877 flood affectees. He said that medical camps have also been set up along with relief camps where medical aid is being provided to the affectees. He said that administration is also providing “wanda” to cattle of flood affectees.
DG PDMA said that 7800 tents, 183 boats, two motor boats, 10 thousand food hampers, 10 thousand 10 kg flour bags, 2200 mineral water bottles, 10 thousand kg dates, 500 life jackets, 100 life rings and 20 medical camps have so far been provided to administration of flood affected districts. He said that flow of water at Tarbela is 17860 cusecs, at Kala Bagh 388787 cusecs, at Chashma 482781 cusecs and at Taunsa 457696 cusecs while all other nullahs and water channels are flowing normally.
