PML-Q office-bearers will undertake organizational tours: Ch Zaheeruddin Khan

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Punjab General Secretary Ch Zaheeruddin Khan has said that on the direction of PML leader Ch Parvez Elahi, office-bearers will undertake organizational tours a throughout Punjab, PML will fully participate in local body’s polls at every level as such office-bearers and workers should start mass contact campaign right now for success in the local polls.

He said this while addressing a party meeting at Muslim League House here today. Mian Mohammad Munir, Nasir Ramzan Gujjar, Malik Faraz Awan, Suhail Cheema, Tanveer Azam Cheema, Sajjad Baloch, Arshad Bokhari and other office-bearers were present on the occasion.

Ch Zaheeruddin Khan said that in the first stage organizational tours of district Kasur, Okara, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Nankkana, Pakpattan and Sahiwal will be visited and names of candidates for contesting local body’s polls will be finalized.

Criticising reduction of women seats in Punjab from 50 to 25, he said that women form 52 per cent of total population of Pakistan and this ratio is two per cent more as compared to men, it does not suit the rulers making tall claims about rights of womenfolk that they should reduce representation of women in the local bodies.
