Shahbaz Sharif instructs the district administration for immediate disposal of rainwater

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif issued instructions to the district administration and concerned institutions from London for immediate disposal of rainwater from low lying areas of Lahore due to heavy rain on Eid day. The Chief Minister directed that all necessary resources should be utilized for the drainage of rainwater from low lying areas and senior officers of administration and concerned departments should personally supervise the work of disposal of water.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while issuing instructions for disposal of rainwater from low- lying areas of Rawalpindi due to heavy rain on the second day of Eid directed district administration and concerned institutions to take all possible steps for immediate drainage of rainwater and utilize maximum resources for this purpose for resolving problems of citizens.

He said that no laxity or negligence will be tolerated with regard to disposal of rainwater and a report should be submitted to Chief Minister Office after completion of drainage work.
