Motorways police make possible the return of overcharged amount to passengers

Lahore: On the directives of NH&MP IG Muhammed Saleem Bhatti, Motorway Police central zone (Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan) made transport owner to pay back passengers total Rs 3, 07,005 overcharged from them ahead of Eidul Fitr, The central zone has initiated stern action on the complaints of overcharging and has taken all possible steps to reimburse extra fare to the passengers. This was stated by DIG Mirza Faran Baig while making surprise checking of overcharging in buses on national highways near Thoker Niaz Baig.

The central zone returned an overly charged amount of Rs 3, 07,005 to passengers and imposed fine on violations to 1122 vehicles under the supervision of SSP Masrror Alam Kalachi.

The passengers appreciated the NH&MP s initiative. They were asked to lodge their complaints, if any on Motorway Police help line 130.
