The field officers to follow the Ramzan security plan : IG Punjab

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has directed the field officers to follow the Ramzan security plan for the protection of the citizens and maintenance of law and order on the occasions of Juma-tul-Wida, Chaand Raat and Eid Prayers.

The field officers were also directed to ensure the implementation on already issued security SOP in their own respective districts. They were also directed to deploy the official in civil dress besides uniform force at important government buildings, sensitive points, business centers and eid bazaars.

The PPO further directed the officers to keep constant liaison with the special branch and other agencies for intelligence sharing. They were also directed to use the walk through gates, metal detectors and drone cameras around the eid gatherings to ensure the 100% security of the participants.

All CTOs of the province will personally monitor the traffic arrangements and will ensure that the flow of traffic will remain smooth on this occasion. They were also directed to made alternate traffic arrangements in those areas where the development projects are under construction and proper public awareness campaign must be launched in this regard.

PHP officials will also remain on duty during eid holidays. They were also directed to ensure the monitoring and surveillance of the vehicles at all entry and exit points besides, bridges and bus terminals. Surprise pickets will also be arranged by the PHP so that the subversive elements could be monitored consecutively.

The Provincial Police Chief also directed the field officers to ensure that in the name of checking, operational staff must avoid to disturb the innocent people.
