Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed that foolproof security arrangements should be made on Juma-tul-Wida, Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr. He said that police and law enforcement agencies should remain fully alert and additional police force should be deputed in markets, bazaars and shopping centers on these days.
Addressing a high level meeting to review overall law and order situation in the province, the Chief Minister said that all out measures are being taken for the protection of life and property of the people. He said that police should perform its duties efficiently for further improving law and order situation. He further directed that senior police officers should remain in the field to review security arrangements on Juma-tul-Wida, Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Shahbaz Sharif further directed that foolproof security of Eid-ul-Fitr congregations especially mosques and Imam Bargahs should be ensured and the security plan evolved for this purpose should be implemented at any cost. Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Col.(R) Shuja Khanzada, Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Secretary Home and senior officers were present in the meeting.
