Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif during a press conference held with regard to complete payment of loans, markup, cost of fund and other charges payable to Ittefaq Foundery presented documentary proofs and facts in a very comprehensive manner.
Media-men asked a number of questions regarding role of NAB and said that this is not objectionable that NAB is assassinating the character of politicians and presenting settled cases to the court upon which the Chief Minister said that today he will talk about the loans of Ittefaq Foundaries.
However, on the insistence of journalists, Shahbaz Sharif said that he will soon talk about the role of NAB at an appropriate time. While referring to those who got waived off loans, the Chief Minister repeatedly mentioned “Ameer and Tareen” during his press conference upon which the journalists continued smiling.
The Chief Minister also showed clearance certificates issued by the banks along with the documents of payments made in the head of loans of Ittefaq Foundery, markup, cost of fund and other charges. Replying to a question about NAB Shahbaz Sharif said that the issue has been raised and now it will open a Pandora box.
At an occasion, the Chief Minister said that there should be judicious and ruthless accountability. He said that if a poor man does not return loan, the bank takes action against him but the matter is different with “Ameer and Tareen”.
