Lahore: Parliamentary Secretary Information & Culture Rana Muhammad Arshad inaugurated exhibition of calligraphy at Alhamra Art Gallery, today. More than 115 masterpieces of 70 calligraphers have been placed at the exhibition.
Addressing the inaugural function, Rana Arshad said that the exhibition of Islamic calligraphy is held every year which is aimed at promotion of this art. He said that Muslims expresses their love with religion with the names of Allah and Quranic verses through various manners and colors as this is the great heritage of Muslims. He said that no other religion has such kind of expression and Allah has bestowed this right only to Muslims and they express their love with Almighty Allah by presenting Quranic verses in different manners and colors.
Parliamentary Secretary said that the youth should take their masterpieces abroad for exhibition so that the art of calligraphers could be recognized. The exhibition will continue till July 15 from 9.30 am to 6 pm.
