Punjab Government issues DJ Butt a notice for evading tax

Lahore: The Punjab Government after expressing solidarity with DJ Butt issued him a notice for tax evading.Punjab Revenue Authority on Tuesday served notice to DJ Butt over non-payment of sales tax worth Rs 17 million.

The revenue authority served notice to DJ Butt for evading tax on Rs 110 million which he earned during PTI sit-ins.

In the notice issued by Additional Commissioner Aisha Ranjha, DJ Butt was warned of strict action against him if he did not deposit Rs 17 million dues in the treasury.

Earlier on July 6, DJ Butt had come up with claims that PTI owes him Rs 80 million from Dharna days on account of musical arrangements at its Islamabad sit-in that continued for 126 days.
