Every patient has right to get medical treatment:Principal LGH Prof. Khalid Mahmood

Lahore: Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Ameer ud Din Medical College Prof. Khalid Mahmood has said that every patient has right to get medical treatment whereas  it is first and foremost duty of doctors as well as paramedics to provide them all possible medical facilities readily with professional efficiency and dedication.

Prof. Khalid Mahmood expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Punjab Medical Staff Association, Lahore General Hospital here today. The delegation was comprising Rana Pervez, Rahmant Sandhu, Ameen, Salamat, Khalid Gondal, Sajjad Khan, Amanat Saghir, Fazal Aasi, Ilyas, Malik Hanif and a large number of employees who warmly welcome the newly appointed Principal in Administration Block. All the administrative doctors were also present on the occasion.

Prof. Khalid Mahmood said that Punjab Government has great emphasis to respect the patients along with providing them best possible medical treatment. If doctors and other staff deal the patients with a smile on their faces, it helps great in healing their ailment, he further said. He was of the view that persons deputed to give medical treatment to patients must work keeping them above all sorts of pressures and tensions.

He said that doctors, paramedical staff and administration are just like a family and they should also share love and affection with patients and their attendants so as to create good image of the hospital for its visitors.
