Doce Bakery, wafaqi colony, sealed for using expire sauce

Lahore: Pizza section of Doce Bakery, wafaqi colony, sealed due to using expire sauce, no expiry on mayonnaise, no soap for hand and utensil washing, food placed on floor by Allama Iqbal town team.

Ravi Town team accompanied by teams of Allama Iqbal Town, Aziz Bhatti Town, Nishtar Town and Data Gunj Bakhsh Town under the supervision of Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz conducted a raid at chilies mill at Akbari Mandi and sealed two units of spices grinding. According to details, Malik Nasir alias Cooki had prepared substandard chilies and turmeric by mixing wheat husk, rice, flour, oil and color and sold in the market.

There were cockroaches and mice present in the production unit. Due to all these reasons, the units were sealed and 2.5 lakh kilogram substandard and adulterated chilies, turmeric and one truck of rice flour was taken into possession besides FIR was registered with concerned police station and seven persons including the owner were arrested.

Moreover, Ravi Town team sealed Lala Akbar Milk shop and Masha Allah Milk shop on poor cleanliness, keeping uncovered edible items at floor and violating the instructions of food authority. Similarly, Samanabad team sealed Data Dahe Bhale and Lahori Dahe Bhale in Main Bazaar Ichra due to poor arrangements of cleanliness and arrested three persons after getting registered FIR with concerned police station.

Meanwhile, Shalimar Town team sealed Ijaz Bakary at Bhogiwal Road due to poor cleanliness arrangements, non conduction of medical checkup of workers and non-labeling bakery items and got arrested two persons after registration of FIR with concerned police station. Moreover, Allama Iqbal Town team sealed Doce Bakery and Nadeem Sweets at Wafaqi Colony.

According to details, Pizza section of Doce Bakery was sealed due to very poor cleanliness arrangements and using expired sachet and nonees without expiry date while Nadeem Sweets was sealed due to poor arrangements of cleanliness and not having the arrangements of hand washing for workers and utensil washing.

Similarly, field team of Nishtar Town had sealed Zahid Snacks factory some days ago due to poor cleanliness arrangements but the factory owner unsealed the factory illegally and without permission of Punjab Food Authority upon which the factory was again sealed, the other day and one person was got arrested after registration of FIR with concerned police station.

Field team of Gulberg Town sealed production unit of Lasani Sweets at Faisal Town and Naveed Sweets in Barkat Market due to very poor cleanliness arrangements, keeping food items at dirty storage and floor and poor hygiene of workers. Washroom of Lasani Sweets production unit was also present in the production area.

Field team of Data Gunj Bakhsh Town imposed a heavy fine to Acha Milk shop near Bhatti Gate on presence of flies at chillers and containers, open pipes, poor arrangements of cleanliness and workers working with jewelry.
