Punjab Police is a ‘monster force’ : Imran Khan’s tweet

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in a tweet on Friday termed Punjab Police is a “monster force” after police officials allegedly tortured and manhandled his two nephews bearing marks of torture and wounds. I am proud of my nephews who did not disclose their relation when arrested by the police, claiming that the youngsters were deliberately implicated in the case.

“I will pursue this case to the very end and expose how Punjab government is using its police for political victimisation,” Khan tweeted.

Imran Khan accused Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif of using Punjab police for political victimisation.

The PTI chief’s two nephews were booked in a case and arrested on Wednesday for torturing a traffic warden over seatbelt issue in Lahore. The next day, a local court granted bail to them after they two showed marks of torture on their bodies.
