Every attempt to rig the upcoming local body elections will be foiled: Ch Sarwar

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Punjab Organiser Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that every attempt to rig the upcoming local body elections will be foiled with an iron hand and the culprits will be taught a lesson. The PTI tigers will ensure that the local body elections would be held in a just and transparent manner, he said.

Chaudhry Sarwar was addressing the participants of an iftar dinner hosted in honour of PTI member Javed Hassan Manj at his office on Thursday.

PTI deputy secretary information Farrukh Habib, Maj (retired) Zaheerul Hassan, Jamal Hassan Manj, Chaudhry Qamar and others were present on the occasion.

Chaudhry Sarwar said the party would never ignore those, who did sacrifices for the party, while awarding party tickets for the LG polls. Saying that the party had submitted all proofs to the Judicial Commission, he hoped the Commission decision would expose all those forces, who committed rigging in the 2013 general elections.

The PTI Punjab Organiser said the PTI had devised a fair and transparent system of awarding party tickets, which no political party had ever adopted. He said the PTI was a democratic party within itself.   He said the government should understand that it would not be allowed to `sweep’ the local body elections through unfair means. He said the PTI tigers would ensure the sanctity of people’s votes and beat PML-N with majority votes.
