Shahbaz Sharif appreciates law enforcement agencies over successful operation against terrorists

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has appreciated law enforcement agencies over successful operation against terrorists near Kala Shah Kaku and said that they have foiled the nefarious designs of terrorist elements through their best professional abilities and courage and deserve congratulation. He paid tributes to all offices and officials which took part in the operation for foiling the nefarious designs of terrorists and showed courage and bravery. The Chief Minister gave Shahbash to officers and jawans participated in the successful operation against terrorists and said that the whole nation is proud of them.

Meanwhile, Provincial Home Minister Col.(R) Shuja Khanzada has said that in a joint operation in Kala Shah Kaku area of Lahore, a big terrorist attempt by Tehrik-e-Talban Pakistan has been foiled and four
terrorists have been killed while two have been arrested in an injured condition. This operation was conducted on secret information under national action plan. The Counter Terrorism Force and sensitive
institutions took part in the operation.

Talking to media men, Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada said that suicide jackets, rocket launchers, Klashnikoves and other weapons were recovered. He said that two days ago, anti terrorism force had also arrested an accused involved in funding to a banned organization. He said that action against terrorists will be continued by law enforcement agencies under national action plan till this menace will be eliminated.

The minister said that more than 75 terrorists have been arrested in Punjab and their cases have been sent to the courts. He said that among 1344 elements included in Schedule Four, 716 have been arrested. He said that national action plan for the elimination of terrorists and sectarian elements are continuing vigorously. He said that 13802 seminaries and mosques have been registered in the province. He said that government is keeping a vigilant eye on educational institutions and non-governmental organizations in the light of secret information. He said that action has so far been taken against seven NGOs for involvement in illegal activities while the affairs of other organizations are being strictly monitored.

The Provincial Minister appreciated the performance of Counter Terrorism Force and sensitive institutions regarding successful operation against terrorists in Kala Shah Kaku.
