Ambassador of Switzerland in Pakistan calls on Khalil Tahir Sandhu

Lahore: Ambassador of Switzerland in Pakistan Marc P. George called on Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu, here today. Matters of mutual interest and human rights were discussed in the meeting.

Khalil Tahir Sandhu informed Marc P. George about the steps taken by provincial government for the welfare and betterment of minorities. He said that Punjab government has allocated five percent job quota in government service for minorities on permanent basis. He said that Minorities Advisory Councils are being set up in all districts for the solution of problems of minorities at the local le.vel.

The Swiss Ambassador appreciated the steps taken by Punjab government for protection of human rights and welfare and uplift of minorities.
