Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has said that the elected representatives of Karachi have failed to ensure relief to the masses adding that all political forces should play their due role in resolving the issues of the people regardless of any cast, creed and colour.
He expressed these views while addressing an Iftar dinner organized by JI Karachi Chapter in honour of journalists, columnists and other dignitaries of Karachi at Idara-e-Noor Haq here on Saturday.
Addressing the Iftar dinner, Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said that the power and water shortage issues have become critical by every passing day adding that the K-Electric has failed to follow its agreement.
Siraj-ul-Haq urged that the government should make arrangements of provision of electricity and other necessities in the future adding that it should provide relief to the bereaved families whose love ones have been lost their lives by heat stroke.
JI Ameer Senator Siraj-ul-Haq further said that few elite classes has capsized on 95per cent country’s resources adding that the corrupt political and civil bureaucratic personalities are include in elite class which damaged the country’s resources a lot.
He further said that the western powers through a planned conspiracy is trying to destroy the culture of Islamic World and hatching conspiracy to impose dictatorship in Islamic countries adding that a fresh example of all such conspiracy was a recent military coup in Egypt, where the government of Morsi was being wrapped up by the army dictator Gen Sisi.
Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said that the country would be developed through proper democracy and follows the Constitution in its true spirit.
He further said that the operation against the criminal elements in Karachi should be continued with its true zeal and action would be taken against hardcore criminals regardless of their political affiliation.
“The Jamaat-e-Islami wants a peaceful Karachi but this could not be done for last 20years due to the non-serious attitude of past and present governments”, Siraj-ul-Haq regretted.
He further said that the federal and provincial government should complete its 5year tenure for strengthening the democratic process and the people of the country should hold the rulers accountable in next general elections.
