Lahore: British High Commissioner Philip Barton met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad today. Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors were discussed in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that there are excellent relations between Britain and Pakistan in education, energy and other sectors of development. He said that bilateral ties between Britain and Pakistan have improved in the tenure of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. The British High Commissioner congratulated Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on the completion and launching of Pakistan Metro Bus Project in the twin cities and also appreciated the standard of the project. The Chief Minister said that the full confidence expressed by the masses in PakistanMetro Bus Project is a proof of its success. He said that the number of people benefitting from Pakistan Metro Bus Service in the twin cities is higher than that of Lahore.
