Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif took an aerial view of Pakistan Metro Bus Service in Rawalpindi-Islamabad today. He inspected the entire route of Pakistan Metro Bus Service and expressed satisfaction over the arrival and departure of passengers at the metro stations.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan Metro Bus Service has provided speedy, quality and economical travelling facilities to the masses. He said that one lakh 50 thousand persons are daily benefitting from Pakistan Metro Bus Service. He said that inauguration of the project has given a strong reply to those who criticize welfare programmes of the government. He said that poor people have right over resources and Pakistan Muslim League-N government is giving them this right through welfare programmes.
He said that PML-N government will continue to set up welfare projects like metro bus service. He said that service to the people is the motto of PML-N and billions of rupees are being spent on raising the living standard of people and provision of basic facilities to them. He said that metro bus service is a splendid example of utilization of national resources on the masses. He said that Lahore Metro Bus Service has given a new identity to the city and more than 1.75 lakh people are benefiting from this service daily.
He said that after success of Lahore Metro Bus Service, Pakistan Metro Bus Service is also continuing successfully in Rawalpindi-Islamabad. He said that metro bus service has revolutionized the transport system. He said that through metro bus service, transport system has been set up on modern lines. He said that work on metro bus project has also been started in Multan. He said that metro bus project of Multan will be a masterpiece of architecture.
He said that metro bus service is an important step towards minimizing the gulf between rich and poor. He said that all segments of society are equally benefitting from metro bus service.
