PML-Q rejects Punjab Budget 2015-16

wpid-photo-moonis-elahi-01-may19-14.jpg.jpegLahore: PML-Q has rejected Punjab Budget 2015-16 with the remarks that from the Punjab rulers there is no relief for the poor, farmers, youth and common man in the budget for new financial year instead this will increase poverty, dearness, lawlessness, corruption and problems of the people belonging to all walks of life.

These bitter facts have been highlighted by Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Punjab parliamentary leader Moonis Elahi, MPAs Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal, Aamir Sultan Cheema, Sardar Asif Nakai, Muhammad Shah Khagga, Dr Muhammad Afzal, Baasima Chaudhry and Khadeeja Farooqi in a joint statement issued here this evening.

They said it has again been proved by the new budget that health and education problems of common are not included in the priorities of the Punjab govt., their priories are only such show off projects on which photos of Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif are displayed and allocations have been made only for these projects, public servants salaries have been increased very nominally, no measures have been taken for reduction in dearness.

They said that inefficiency of the rulers has become clear from this that 50 per cent of Punjab budget has not been utilized, so-called Finance became aware of the budget when it was given to her for reading, nominal funds have been allocated for higher education, only Lahore and projects of Lahore have been given priority. They said funds have been allocated for mausoleums but living human beings and their health, education and protection have been ignored, taxes have not been reduced.

They said that mini-budget was given ahead of the budget by increasing petrol prices which increased dearness.

The PML MPAs further said that funds have been allocated for South Punjab in the budget this time also only for showing which will be utilized like in the past on advertised projects, this was clear proof of the inefficiency of the govt that every segment of the society is protesting on the roads.

They pointed stated that the surplus province of the tenure of Ch Parvez Elahi has been put under heavy debt of Rs 700 billion of internal and external banks, people are committing suicides owing to poverty and dearness. They remarked that last seven budgets of the Punjab have been presented by seven Finance Ministers, how much durable will be economic policies of the govt which do not have permanent Finance Minister.
