Lahore: Trials of the national hockey team have been postponed till June 12 because of the sudden death of national selector Arshad Ali Chaudhry. He was the brother in law of president PHF Ch Akhtar Rasool.Trials will be held at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Pakistan Sports Board Complex, Islamabad.
National team, to take part in the Olympics qualifying round, will be announced the same day on June 12.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed grief & sorrow over the sad demise of Ch Arshad Ali and condoled with Akhtar Rasool.He also paid homage to the services of the deceased for the promotion of Hockey in the country.
