Lahore: Pakistan Hockey Federation President Akhtar Rasool Chaudhry and Secretary General Rana Mujahid Ali have condoled the death of former Olympian and member national selection committee Arshad Ali Chaudhry who died her on Thursday. He was 65.
In a condolence message both Akhtar and Rana Mujahid said that Arshad’s untimely death has saddened the entire hockey fraternity across the country. He was a dedicated hockey lover for whom the game always remained supreme. Arshad had to attend the trials for the selection of national team in Islamabad on June 11 (today). But owing to his bad health couldn’t attend.
The PHF President and Secretary General prayed that Almighty Allah give strength to Arshad’s family to bear this irreparable loss.
Arshad represented Pakistan in two Olympics Munich (1972) and Montreal (1976). His Namaz-i-Jinaza will be offered at his residence 38 Usman Block, New Garden Town, Lahore at 9.30 pm after the Isha prayer.
