European Union expressed concerns over executions in Pakistan

Lahore: European Union has expressed its concern over executions in Pakistan ,stating that 150 people have been executed in Pakistan since Dec ’14.This represents a major step backwards in Pakistan’s record on human rights.

The EU said that effective implementation of the international conventions is a requirement under the European Union’s GSP+ Regulations.

EU is opposed to capital punishment in all cases and has consistently called for its universal abolition.
