Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that rigging and murder of 23 persons in local bodies elections of KPK is the darkest chapter of electoral history of Pakistan which is highly condemnable. Had Imran Khan promised to hold elections based on rigging and bloodshed in KPK, he questioned.He was talking to media, here today.
He said that the responsibility of rigging and murder of 23 persons lies on Imran Khan and Pervaiz Khattak. He said that a fake FIR was registered on the orders of Imran Khan and Pervaiz Khattak against a senior politician like Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Central Secretary General ANP. He said that PTI workers had surrounded the house of Mian Iftikhar Hussain and wanted to kill him and set his house on fire.
Rana Sanaullah said that all the elections conducted in KPK earlier were peaceful. He said that Imran Khan has been saying that there is no use of conducting elections again till the persons involved in rigging are not punished. He said that rigging has been proved in the elections of KPK local bodies elections therefore KPK government should resign and according to the decision of Imran Khan, MNAs, MPAs and other office-bearers involved in rigging in KPK should be awarded punishment.
He said that the responsibles of PTI who have been criticizing different incidents in Punjab should now also resign on proving rigging and murder of innocent people in KPK, get register an FIR against them and face inquiries.
Rana Sanaullah demanded KPK government to provide financial assistance to the heirs of those who were murdered in local bodies elections in KPK. He said that PTI workers were receiving instructions for the arrest of Mian Iftikhar Hussain from Imran Khan and Pervaiz Khattak from Bani Gala. He said that Imran Khan has set a record of double standards.
Rana Sanaullah said that he had resigned on only allegations and faced investigation for one year but Imran Khan has still objection over it. He said that Imran Khan did not even get resign from his minister for two days who was caught red handed doing rigging in local bodies elections.
