Lahore: The Minister for Labor & HR/Chairman Governing Body Punjab Employees Social Security Institute (PESSI) Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has taken serious notice of the death incident of wife of a secured worker in PESSI Maternity & Child Healthcare Centre, Kot Lakhpat who died due to non-availability of ventilator. The minister has directed Commissioner PESSI to hold inquiry on the issue as to why the Ventilator was not available in PESSI MCHCC Kot Lakhpat, which is exclusively for newborn children and their mothers, and why NSSC Hospital did not admit the patient instead referring her to a private hospital, which led to her death.
The Minister for Labor has desired fixing of the responsibility of the sad incident and submitting of the report within 2 days. He also directed the Commissioner PESSI to meet the agitating workers and ensure them full justice.
