Dengue larva is being found more indoors than the outdoors: Mehr Ishtaiq

Lahore: Member National Assembly and Chairman Town Emergency Response Committee (TERC) Mehr Ishtaiq Ahmad has said that according to the reports submitted by the Anti dengue teams, after their visits, dengue larva is being found more indoors than the outdoors. He said that residents of Samanabad Town should pay special attention towards cleanliness in their houses and drain water out of their room coolers on daily basis. He said that residents should avoid excess watering to flower pots and control moisture near water tanks.

He expressed these views while presiding over an anti-dengue meeting here at Samanabad Town, today. TMO Malik Imtiaz Awan, Officers of town and all concerned departments were also present on this occasion. Mehr Ishtiaq said that activities of anti dengue teams and door to door awareness campaign should be geared up because dengue threat is on rise due to recent rain.

Chairman TERC Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad said that from the day first Government is doing its level best for the eradication of dengue and mobilizing all its resources and energies but it’s also the duty of masses to do their best and adopt precautionary measures and cooperate with anti-dengue teams to check dengue. He said that residents and owners of commercial places should keep a vigilant eye on their surroundings and report town office in case they find stagnant water around.

Mehr Ishtiaq MNA directed all the officers of the concerned departments to follow the SOPs regarding anti-dengue measuers. He especially directed the officials of education department to monitor Government and Private educational institutions even during summer vacations.
