PU summer vacation from 22nd

Lahore: On account of summer holidays, Punjab University will

remain closed from June 22 to August 28. However, in view of the examinations schedule etc,

minor adjustment can be made by the head of department. This was decided in a meeting of all

heads of departments chaired by PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran. The meeting

congratulated PU administration for improvement in the ranking of the university because of

promotion of research culture. Earlier, some universities were superior to PU in previous

rankings released by HEC. The meeting also offered Fateha for departed soul of former head of

Persian Department Prof Dr Aftab Asghar. Paying tribute to his academic work, PU VC Dr

Mujahid Kamran said that he was a hard worker and competent person in his field.
