Shuja Khanzada gives reception to Zimbabwean cricket Team

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Home Col (R) Shuja Khanzada has said that arrival of Zimbabwean cricket team to Pakistan is important progress with regard to revival of international cricket. He paid tributes to sportsman spirit of Zimbabwean cricket team. He said that cricket has defeated terrorism. People of Pakistan love games and players. Zimbabwean cricket team players have expressed their views that there is no issue of security in Pakistan, he added.
He expressed these views while addressing a dinner hosted by Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in the honor of Zimbabwean and Pakistani Cricket Teams at PC Hotel. Provincial Minister for Sports Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that we are thankful to Zimbabwean cricket team and government that Zimbabwean cricket team visited Pakistan and will remember their love and cooperation forever. He said that Punjab government has made foolproof arrangements for the security of Zimbabwean cricket team. He said that now the doors of international cricket have opened for Pakistan and expressed the hope that Sri Lankan cricket team will also soon visit Pakistan.  Rana Mashhood said that under the guidance of PML(N) leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, facilities were provided to the youth for the positive activities in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister. He said that we are thankful to Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Sheharyar Khan that international cricket has revived in Pakistan with the cooperation of PCB and Sports Board Punjab.
Captain Zimbabwean cricket team Elton Chigumbura said that we are very happy to visit Pakistan. He said that best security and other facilities have been provided to us and expressed the hope that Pakistani people have witnessed good cricket. He said that Zimbabwean cricket team will visit Pakistan in future as well. Captain Pakistan ODI cricket team Azhar Ali said that Zimbabwean team visited Pakistan in difficult circumstances and its cooperation will be remembered forever. He said that people of Pakistan and Zimbabwe have now become brother. He thanked Punjab government for providing best security. He also thanked cricket lovers for participating actively in the matches and displaying discipline.

At the end of the function, souvenirs were presented to players of Pakistan and Zimbabwe on behalf of Sports Board Punjab. DG Sports Board Punjab Usman Anwar, Provincial Ministers Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada, Chairman PCB Sheharyar Khan, Intikhaab Alam, Abdul Qadir, senior journalist Ayyaz Khan, Bedar Bakhat Butt, showbiz personalities film stars Zaiba, Ali Zafar, Hamid Ali Khan, national players Kh. Zaka ud Din, Manzoor Junior, Shahbaz Senior, Kh. Muhammad Junaid, Sana Mir, Bisma Maroof, Madiha Latif, Shafiq Chisti, Assembly Members Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Tahaia Noor, Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, American Consul General Lahore Zachary Harkenrider, American Ambassador Bin French and Consul General China Lahore Yu Born were also attended the meeting.
