Lahore: On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, crackdown is continuing against those involved in sale of substandard, unregistered, spurious and intoxicated medicines and raiding teams of Health Department sealed 17 medical stores in various areas of Lahore during last 24 hours and substandard medicines and intoxicated injections worth lakhs of rupees were taken into possession.
This was disclosed by Vice Chairman Chief Minister Taskforce on eradication of spurious drugs Kh. Imran Nazir. He told that three medical stores in Gulberg Town, three in Ravi Town, two in Shalimar Town, four in Aziz Bhatti Town, three in Wahgha Town and two in Cantt area were sealed. He said that raiding teams comprised drug inspectors Shaukat Wahab, Imran Sarfraz, Aamir Shahzad, Imama Hussain, Kamal Sikandar and Rana Shahid. Kh. Imran Nazir reiterated that crackdown against those playing with human lives will continue and fake, substandard and intoxicating medicines would completely be eliminated.
