Lahore Tourist Bus Service to be Launched

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Tourism Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that the Punjab government is taking all out measures to provide best recreational facilities to public. Huge funds have been allocated for renovation of historical sites and resorts of the province. He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of Board of Directors of Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP). MPA Tahia Noon, Vice Chairman Imran Goraya, Secretary Toursim Muhammad Khan Khichi, Managing Director TDCP Ahmar Malik and other members attended the meeting.

The Minister said that development of tourism can help in building soft image of country. Development of domestic tourism can lead to development of International tourism, he added. The Minister said technical education being provided by TDCP is very vital as it would create opportunities of employment and economic prosperity. Lahore Tourist Bus Service will be launched from August 14, he added. He said that the Bus will play from Qaddafi Stadium to Food Street. The Minister directed to recruit required staff on merit. He also directed to take care of special persons and children of those employees who died during service. MD TDCDP gave a detailed briefing about performance of the department. Board of Directors expressed satisfaction over performance of the department.
