Lahore: Implementation on National Action Plan will be continued in its true letter and spirit and no kind of pressure will be accepted in this regard and all subversive and criminal elements will be strictly monitored till the end of last terrorist and criminal in the province.
Inspector General of Police, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has expressed these views while attending a briefing held at Central Police Office, Lahore regarding to review the implementation of National Action Plan. All senior Officers attended the briefing.
Provincial Police Chief was told that the task of Geo-tagging of all 14000 seminaries have been completed. He was also informed that on violation of foreign act as many as 799 cases have been registered against illegal Afghan refugees up till now, whereas, 1535 have been arrested so far.
He was also informed that on violation of The Punjab Prohibition of Expressing Matters on Wall (Amendment) Ordinance, 1995, 761 cases have been registered and 713 violators have been arrested, whereas, 230 have been fined from 25000 to 100,000 rupees.
The PPO further briefed that during Combing Operations conducted in Punjab, 29686 localities were searched, 487184 persons were questioned and 3356 cases were registered, whereas, on violation of Foreign Act, Illegal Arms and Counter of Narcotics Substansive Act (CNSA), 2555 FIRs have been lodged against violators.
Similarly, during various General Hold Ups 16908 suspicious criminals have been arrested, whereas, 10535 illegal arms have been recovered, 94651 without number plates vehicles, 2415 unauthorized green number plates vehicles, 28701 vehicles with unauthorized number plates, 1135 vehicles with unauthorized Blue Lights, 8200 vehicles with tinted glass have been impounded so far. 17571 Vehicles of the Law Enforcement Agencies and 3332 Vehicles displaying insignias of Law Enforcing Agencies have been checked.
