Anti Corruption arrests seven persons including three officers

Lahore: Anti Corruption Department Punjab has arrested seven persons including three officers and officials involved in fake registration of 90 kanal government land worth billions of rupees.

According to details, members of land mafia Irshad, Mansoor Iqbal and Barkat Ramzan in connivance with Assistant Director Land Record tehsil Raiwind Waqas Maalik and In-Charge District Record Room Rana Shahbaz prepared a fake registration of 90 kanal government land adjacent to Bahria Town Lahore and pasted it on the record of registration of two and a half marla house made in 1990.

Later, mutation of 90 kanal land was made in favor of Arshad, Bashir, and Mansool Iqbal on the basis of bogus registration.

DCO Lahore Capt. (R) Muhammad Usman as ex-officio Deputy Director Anti Corruption conducted inquiry of the matter and sent it to Director General Anti Corruption Punjab and a case was registered on the order of DG Anti Corruption whereas Special Judge Anti Corruption Lahore has dismissed pre-arrest bail of Assistant Director Land Record Waqas Maalik Wattoo.
