SBP badminton teams will depart for Peshawar on Tuesday

Lahore: Sports Board Punjab’s (SBP) under-16 girls and under-17 boys’ badminton teams will depart for Peshawar on May 19 (Tuesday) to feature in Inter-Provincial Badminton Championship being held from May 20 to 22, 2015.

10 players including five boys and equal number of girls will represent SBP in the Inter-Provincial event. The 2-day badminton camp was conducted by qualified coach Ch Liaqat at Nishtar Park Sports Complex. Overall, the SBP athletes will take part in five Inter-Provincial events – athletics, badminton, hockey, table tennis and squash in different venues of the country.

The boys and girls table tennis teams of Punjab will also head to Muzaffarabad on May 20 (Wednesday). The young Punjab teams will figure in Under-16 Girls and Under-17 Boys Inter-Provincial Table Tennis Championship which is scheduled to be played at Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir from May 21 to 23.
