Lahore: Former Governor of Punjab and Senior Member Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Ch Muhammad Sarwar en route to Karachi emphasised the growing rate of terrorism in the country. He said, “Pakistan has constantly been targeted by terrorist groups who kill in the name of religion. The nation’s safety has become vulnerable and defenceless as these attacks continue to grow. The daunting situation has caused people to live in a state of constant fear in their own home country.
In a statement issued today, the Former Governor stated, “Pakistan is in a state of war. Social injustice, religious intolerance and political instability has fueled the fire of terror in the country. We need to unveil these vicious villains who are unceremoniously killing in the name of God and Islam. Pakistan has already suffered enough ineffaceable loss at civilian and economic levels.”
In a conclusive statement, Mr. Sarwar asserted, “Pakistan has always raised its voice on the significance of peace in international forums. It has not only emphasized the need to establish peace in its own country but in the whole world collectively. The recent phase of increased religious killings is proof that Pakistan is battling terrorism in all facets of society. Pakistan being the epic center of violence has had disastrous psychological, physical and economic consequences on the nation.
The state needs to adopt a multifaceted approach to address this issue. No terrorist group should be led free or supported by the state. We need to unite as a single strong nation and end this war pledged against our motherland.”
