Senator Siraj ul Haq address the youth convention at Upper Dir

sirajulhaq 10 mayLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has called upon the government to play its comprehensive role to ensure the success of the talks between the Afghan Taliban and Afghan President Dr Ashraf Ghani for lasting peace and stability in the entire region.

Addressing a youth convention at Upper Dir organized by the Shabab e Milli, on Sunday, he said that the US and its agents wanted civil war in the Muslim states. He said that large scale devastation had been caused in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen.

The JI chief said that the people of Pakistan were ready to make every sacrifice for the security of Saudi Arabia and the holy places. “I want to assure Saudi Arabia that the people of Pakistan would stand by their Saudi brethren in every difficulty”, he added.

Senator Sirajul Haq said that the safest route for the Pak China Economic Corridor was through Khanjrab, Gilgit, Chitral, Dir and Hasan Abdal. He counseled the federal government to adopt this route in the larger interest of the country.

He deplored that the Livari tunnel had not been completed so far and remarked that the government had made it a ticklish issue like the Kashmir issue due to which the people of Upper Dir and Chitral had become mentally sick.

Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan was full of resources but unfortunately, it could not get honest leadership and this was the root cause of all its socio-economic and political problems at present. He said it was time to demolish the idols of politics. The political elite ruling the country had been plundering national wealth and had sold out the country’s respected daughter Dr Aafia Sddiqui and Ramze Yousuf, he added. These corrupt politicians would go abroad in difficult times and would return to the country only in the time of elections only to mint money, he added.

He said that the JI, on coming on to power, would enforce a uniform education system in the country, and provide basic food items to the low income group on subsidized rates.

He said that the JI was in fact was fighting against the US agents who were working for the US interests in the country.

He commended the people of Jandol for voting for the JI in the by- election and said that they had defeated the three parties alliance. He said a propaganda was being made that the women folk did not vote in the by election. He said that nobody had stopped the women from voting, and added that even if the women had exercised their vote, “the JI candied would have won because millions of the nation’s mothers, sisters and daughters are with the JI”. He also appealed to the people to vote for the JI in the local bodies elections scheduled for May 30.
