Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman visits CMH Gilgat

Lahore: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Gilgit and met with the injured of tragic Naltar accident today.

The Air Chief expressed great sorrow and grief on the loss of lives in this accident. While expressing solidarity with the diplomats, the Air Chief reiterated that PAF would always be with them in this hour of grief. Air Chief also visited the site of the tragic accident and gave special instructions for the relief and rescue operation. Here he met with the foreign diplomats and assured them of the full support and assistance in this hour of need. On the special instructions of the Air Chief, a PAF C-130 aircraft has also reached Gilgit to shift the wounded and dead bodies to Islamabad.

The ambassadors along with their lady wives of various countries had been invited at the inauguration ceremony of Ski Chairlift at Naltar Ski Resort. The foreign diplomats were coming to see the PAF’s contribution in the uplift of this remote area. They have been contributing wholeheartedly in the various projects of the government for the betterment of the people. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was the Chief Guest of this ceremony. The ceremony was postponed after the news of this tragic incident broke.
