Lahore: Rana Abdur Raheem Memorial Cricket Tournament concluded at Shamnagar Cricket Ground, Chauburji here on Tuesday night. The teams of UC 83 took all the top three positions in the tournament. As many as 132 cricket teams took part in the event.
Punjab Minister for Sports and Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan distributed prizes among the top performers at a grand closing ceremony. Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar was also present on this occasion. Thousands of cricket enthusiasts were present in the ground to watch the entertaining closing ceremony.
Addressing the closing ceremony Rana Mashhood said “It was one of the biggest cricket tournaments of Lahore Region. The shining players of the tournament will be encouraged handsomely. The potential cricketers will also be given opportunities at higher level cricket tournaments of the country,” he told.
