Chief Secretary Punjab reviews arrangements for upcoming tour of Zimbabwe cricket team

Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal has said that foolproof security will be ensured for visiting Zimbabwe cricket team. He was presiding over a meeting to review arrangements for upcoming tour of Zimbabwe cricket team here .

The Chief Secretary said that the visit of Zimbabwe team is of key importance for revival of international cricket in Pakistan. He directed all relevant departments to make best arrangements regarding the tour. He said that special counters should be set up at stadium for facilitating spectators.

He said that the Punjab government is providing facilities for promotion of sports in the province, adding that all possible steps would be taken to provide conducive environment for visiting foreign teams. He said that all required arrangements including security would be ensured with the help of police and the city administration during the cricket matches.

PCB Chairman Sheharyar Khan thanked the Chief Secretary for the cooperation being extended by the Punjab government. The meeting was attended by MPA Rana Sanaullah, IG Punjab, Home Secretary, Secretary Sports, Commissioner Lahore, DCO Lahore and other officers concerned.
