Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal has directed that the Citizen Feedback Model should be implemented in a coordinated manner so that its fruits could reach the masses.
He was presiding over a meeting to here on Friday. He said that the Punjab Government is paying special attention to improving governance and provision of best services to people. He directed that in order to make the model more effective and efficient all stakeholders be engaged in the process of consultation and suggestions be sought from District Coordination Officers (DCOs) in this regard. The Chief Secretary said that the Citizen Feedback Model was the best source of getting public opinion regarding government institutions. The model, he added, is playing a key role for transparency, to achieve targets of good governance, to rein in minor corruption and further improve the performance of the government departments. He also directed that data collection process for Citizen Feedback Model should be improved to get the desired results.
PITB Chairman Dr Umar Saif and Secretary Implementation and Coordination Capt (r) Javed Akbar gave briefing on the aims, objectives and features of the Model. Those among present were Agriculture Secretary Rashid Mehmood Langrial, Secretary Services Dr Ejaz Munir and Zubair Bhatti of World Bank.
