Young Pakistani Tennis Star Mahin Aftab Qureshi awarded at Air Headquarters

IMG_8061Lahore: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, awarded cash prize to young Pakistani Tennis Star Mahin Aftab Qureshi at Air Headquarters, Islamabad. The Air Chief appreciated the achievements of this emerging Tennis player on the Pakistani circuit. He also lauded her performance for bringing laurels to the country and showered his best wishes for her in all future tournaments.

Mahin Aftab is the daughter of Air Commodore Aftab Sadiq Qureshi. She is the first Pakistani Tennis player, who created history by clinching the Asian Under 14 Tennis Championship at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She beat Anika Seneviratne of Sri Lanka in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4 in the finals of ITF Asian Championship. She has the honour to be the only Pakistani who has been selected by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to play as a part of Asian Team in the ITF Under 14 team championship in Thailand as well.
