Chinese President have laid the foundation of a bright future for Pakistan:Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that announcements of Chinese President have laid the foundation of a bright economic future for Pakistan. He said that work will be carried out round the clock on the projects of which the foundation stone has been laid while the agreement finalized will be implemented speedily

He was talking to media after the ceremony of historic agreements in Islamabad, today. He said that the speech of Chinese President has given a new courage and hope to Pakistani nation. He said that the coming years will be an era of economic development and prosperity of the people of Pakistan. He said that Pakistani nation will have more joys and happiness under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

While talking to the heads of government and private sector companies associated with energy, infrastructure, transport, mining and other sectors, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that due to the historic visit of Chinese President to Pakistan, a new history of friendship between China and Pakistan is being written and a new dimension has been given to the unprecedented relations between the two countries.

He said that the visit of the Chinese President will write a new chapter of progress and prosperity of Pakistan. He said that the visit of Chinese President is a historic event for the people of Pakistan and the day of April 20 will always be remembered in Pakistan’s history. The delegation led by Chairman of Power China Company which constructed the biggest dam of the world three gorges met Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and it was agreed in the meeting to increase cooperation for the projects of generation of electricity from water resources.

The Chief Minister said that electricity will be generated from water reserves in Punjab with the cooperation of China. He said that China is making investment of billions of dollars in energy sector in Pakistan and the world has seen that those who were declaring investment in energy sector as loan were misleading. He said that the visit of Chinese President will prove to be a game-changer in economic and trade sectors.

A high level delegation of China Railways and Noranco International also met Shahbaz Sharif and discussed Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Lahore Orange Line Metro Train is a glorious project which will prove to be starting point of the latest transport system in Pakistan. He said that due to this project, speedy, comfortable and economical travelling facility will become available to the citizens.

He said that Lahore Orange Line Metro train project is a gift of Chinese President and Prime Minister for the people of Pakistan. He said that lakhs of job opportunities will be created due to the Chinese investment and the launching of various projects. He said that a new era of progress and development in Pakistan will start as a result of economic package of China. Shahbaz Sharif said that he is personally monitoring the projects started in Punjab with the cooperation of China and standard and transparency will be ensured besides the projects will be implemented speedily.

The delegation of China Railways was led by its Vice President while Noranco International group by its President. A delegation led by Chairman China Machinery Engineering Cooperation also met the Chief Minister and discussed increase in cooperation in energy, mining and other sectors. Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that the visit of Chinese President will prove to be a milestone in the process of progress and development in Pakistan. He said that China has offered its cooperation at a time when Pakistan is facing worst energy crisis.

He said that the leadership of China realized the problems of Pakistani people. He said that China has a number of opportunities of investment in different countries of the world but it has chosen Pakistan. He said that Pakistan and its people can never forget the exemplary cooperation of China.
