One dish and the timings of marriage functions should be ensured: CM Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has ordered that implementation of the law regarding one dish and the timings of marriage functions should be ensured at any cost throughout the province and indiscriminate legal action be taken over any violation.

He said that provincial, divisional and district administration should ensure implementation of restriction regarding one dish and the timings fixed for marriage ceremonies and in case of any complaint, action will also be taken against concerned administrative and police officers.

He said that legislation should also be carried out regarding one dish and timings of marriage functions and draft law be prepared for this purpose. He said that besides Lahore, violation of law regarding one dish and timings of marriage functions in other districts will also not be tolerated.

He said that common man is directly benefitting from law regarding marriage ceremonies as it is aimed at checking lavish expenditure and promotion of simplicity and austerity in the society
