Lahore: Deputy Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, has said that the government’s silence over the convictions of the JI Bangladesh leaders was criminal because the JI leaders were being prosecuted for their love for this country.
In a statement here on Sunday, he stressed upon the Pakistan government to exert its pressure for disbanding the so called war crimes tribunal and the convictions of the JI leaders in the light of the tripartite agreement between Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.
He said that if BD Premier Haseena Wajid wanted to take revenge, she should proceed against the BD army that had murdered her father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Farid Ahmed Piracha demanded that Pakistan’s cricket team visit to Bangladesh should be cancelled on this issue.
