Air Marshal Rashid Kamal lifts CAS Veterans’ Golf Championship-2015

Lahore: CAS Veterans’ Golf Championship-2015 was held at Lahore Garrison Golf & Country Club (LGG & C Club). Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, was the Chief Guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the championship.

Speaking at the occasion, the Air Chief thanked the organizers, sponsors and specially the caddies & staff for arranging such an excellent event, held in the honour of veterans of Pakistan Air Force. He also pledged, the glorious legacy of our veterans would be carried on by the Pakistan Air Force.

The chief guest awarded trophies and prizes to the winners. In the seniors’ category, Air Marshal Rashid Kamal, Air Vice Marshal Anis ur Rehman and Air Vice Marshal Asad Lodhi took away the first, second and third net prizes respectively, while first, second and third gross prizes were picked up by Air Marshal Jamshed Khan, Air Marshal Ashfaq Arain and Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Azam Khan. The prize for the longest drive was won by Air Vice Marshal Asim Zaheer and nearest to pin was won by Air Vice Marshal Shahid Akhtar Alvi.

In the amateur / guest category, Wing Commander Attique,  Air Commodore Sarfraz Khan and Air Commodore Aamir Masood picked up the first, second and third net prizes while first, second and third gross prizes were taken away by Group Captain Mustafa Niazi, Squadron Leader Saifullah and Flight Lieutenant Adeel Hashmi respectively. The prize for the longest drive was won by Air Commodore Aamir Malik and nearest to pin by Group Captain Waqas.

In the veterans’ category, Air Chief Marshal (Retd) Tanvir Mehmood Ahmed, Air Commodore (Retd) Akbar Shehzada and Wing Commander (Retd) Amjad Farooq won the first, second and third net prizes, while the prizes for first, second and third gross went to Wing Commander (Retd) Umer Khan, Air Commodore (Retd) Khawaja Sohail Ahmed and Air Commodore (Retd) Sohail Asghar respectively. The longest drive was hit by Wing Commander (Retd) Tahir Butt and closest to pin by Air Commodore (Retd) Amjad Mehmood. The prize for max par was lifted by

Air Marshal (Retd) Athar Hussain Bukhari and prize for maximum birdies was won by Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Shahid Nisar.
