Lahore: Vice Chancellor University of Education, Dr.Faiz ul Hassan has said that for the promotion of research culture and quality education, teachers training on modern scientific lines is a need of today. By considering the modern needs and challenges, the command on modern subjects and methodology is not only important but fully involvement of students as well as teachers in educational process is essential.
He was addressing these views on inaugural session of third phase of short term in-service training of college teachers jointly organized by University of Education and Punjab Higher Education Department at Bank Road Campus. Additional Secretary Academics Dr.Shoieb Anwar, Additional Director Bashir Ahmad Ch., Controller Examinations Dr.Ashiq Hussain Dogar, Principal Bank Road Campus Samina Naheed, faculty deans, educationists, teachers and a large number of students were present at occasion.
Training session will last for ten days in which more than 150 teachers of different colleges of Punjab province are participating where they will learn administrative and financial matters, new educational trends, strategies, communication applications and skills and other related aspects from professional and experienced trainers. Vice Chancellor University of Education Dr.Faiz ul Hasan lauded the efforts of Punjab Higher Education Department officials on arranging such a fruitful training and stressed participants to take keen interest for betterment and development of educational process. Additional Director Bashir Ahmad Ch. welcomed the participants by highlighting the needs and importance of this training session and declared a fruitful activity to meet educational achievements in well manner. Additional Secretary Academics Dr.Shoaib Anwar, Director Research Dr.Mubasher Nadeem also addressed the session. Afterwards VC Dr.Faiz ul Hasan, Dr.Shoaib Anwar and other respected guests distributed appreciation certificates among educationists and other participants.
