Lahore: Problems and grievances of overseas Pakistanis are being solved in a given time frame and more than 150 complaints have so far been registered in Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab by the Overseas Pakistanis from all over the world and 35% complaints have been solved.
This was stated by Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Afzaal Bhatti while giving details of complaints. He said that stern action is being taken against the land mafia who illegally occupied the properties of overseas Pakistanis. He told that Zaheer Ahmad Babar from Saudi Arabia requested for lodging FIR against Amjad Gul etc for restoration of his occupied land.
On the request of Zaheer Ahmad Babar, Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab issued directions to District Collector Sialkot for the redressal of problem. District Collector Sialkot while taking action on the instruction of Commissioner Overseas Pakistan Punjab settled the dispute between both parties. Muhammad Irshad Ahmad from UK requested for verification of paraphernalia for grant of Pakistani passport facilities to dual national on which Overseas Commission Punjab forwarded a reference to Director General Immigration & Passport for taking necessary legal action. Immigration and Passport Department issued passport to the complainant on the instructions of Overseas Commission Punjab. Shela Aleem from U.A.E requested for assistance in arresting the nominated accused in U.A.E. Overseas Pakistanis Commissioner made a phone call to the Pakistani Consulate for the provision of legal help to the Shela Aleem. Abdul Rafay Director Expedi8 Ltd Manchester England filed a complaint in Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab against Imdad Ali Khan Bahria Town Islamabad and Capital Territory Pakistan for recovery of funds. Upon this complain Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab wrote a letter to the Director General FIA for the redressal of genuine grievances of complainant. Director General FIA probed into the matter and made possible recovery to the complainant.
