Lahore: In order to review the progress regarding the Establishment of Computerized Complaint Handling Centers (CHC) and finalizing the operational strategy and posting of civilians Staff at 10 Police Stations of Lahore, as a pilot project, a high level meeting was held at CPO, Lahore, today.
Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, presided over the meeting. Addl: IGP Operations Capt ® Arif Nawaz, DIG Headquarters, Farooq, Mazhar, CPO Lahore, Amin Vance, DIG Operation, Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf, AIG Complaints Kashif Mushtaq Kanju, AIG Finance, Hussain Habib Imtiaz, SSP CIA Umer Virk and all divisional SPs of Lahore, attended the meeting.
CCPO Lahore, told the IGP that the appointment and training of the Civilians staff for these CHCs has been completed. Police Stations, Gulberg, Baghbanpura, North Cantt, South Cantt, Mustafabad, Model Town, Sarwar Road, and Defence Police Stations A, B and C were included in this pilot project.
In the meeting IGP was told that under his instructions, 22 vehicles, 108 Motorcycles, 76 Wirless Sets and 34 Barriers have been provided at these CHCs. It was also decided that these centers will work in two Shifts. First Shift will start from 9am to 5pm and the second one will work 4pm to 11pm. The staff of these centers will be assisted by Admin officers.
The staff of CHC will be responsible to ensure the lodging of FIR of the complainant along with the provision of computerized slips having details about their investigation officer for future reference.
It was also decided in the meeting that SP rank officer will look after the administrative matters of the staff of CHC.
Moreover, to enhance the operational and working capacity of these Police Stations the strength of the force was raised which included 10 Inspectors, 58 Sub Inspectors, 110 ASIs, 151 Head constables, 801 Constables and 12 foot Constables told by DIG Operations Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf in the meeting.
