Lahore: Shell Pakistan is expanding its non-fuel retail capabilities by leveraging its partnership with McDonald’s. The two major brands announced that several McDonald’s drive-thru outlets will be built at selected Shell fuel stations across the country. The ground breaking ceremony of the first project in this regard was held at Shell’s Askari Filling Station in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
Asada Harinsuit, Vice President, Retail (East) at Shell, explained that the alliance with McDonald’s was part of a global Shell strategy to expand the scope and quality of its non-fuel related services at its retail outlets. Amongst other services, most Shell stations also have ‘Select’ convenience stores and ATM machines.
Mazhar Ud Deen, General Manager, Retail, Shell Pakistan said, “The partnership with McDonald’s displays Shell’s commitment towards providing greater satisfaction to our customers. We constantly strive to enhance customer convenience by offering a variety of services at fuel stations, and we are catering to that need by evolving our operations such that every visit to a Shell station offers a convenient one-stop-solution.”
Amin Lakhani, CEO, McDonald’s Pakistan, said: “McDonald’s and Shell form a natural partnership with both brands focusing on enriching the lives of the people who interact with us and enhancing their experience across touch-points.”
