Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Siraj ul Haq, has said that if the government pursued the western agenda, it won’t be able to complete its term. He was addressing the Ittehad e Ummat Conference in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The JI chief said that terrorism was Pervez Musharraf’s gift to the people of the country and he was responsible for the present state of affairs. He said that the mosques and the pulpit were the trenches and missiles of Islam and whoever come in confrontation with these, would perish like Abraha.
The JI chief said that NATO arms had been recovered from a political party headquarters and not from any mosque or madrissah. The national flag had not been put to fire at any mosque but by a political party as was present in the house of parliament.
Sirajul Haq congratulated the Mili Yakjehti Council for holding a conference for the unity of the Ummah and added that the people from Karachi up to Khyber were felt the need for the unity of the Muslim world. He said that the journey towards Umamh’s unity was slow but it was of immense importance.
The JI chief said that safeguarding the sanctity of the Holy Prophet was the duty of the Muslim rulers, and if they had done their job, the issue would have been resolved. However, he said, unfortunately, the rulers and the masses of the 57 Muslim states were on opposite sides. He said that the religious leadership would call on the ambassador of the Muslim countries in the country and impress upon them the need for enactment of an international law to safeguard the sanctity and respect of all the prophets for world peace.
Senator Sirajul Haq said that politics was the mission of the prophets (AS). He said that
the constitution of the country gave highest place to Islam and the JI and other religious parties wanted true implementation of the 1973 constitution.
He said it was a great misfortunate that the rulers had been persistently violating the constitution.Hafiz Saeed Ahmad,Sahibzada Abu Al Khair Muhammad Zubair,Liaqat Baloch,Ameer Hamza,Allama Sajid Naqvi,profesor Muhammad Ibrahim and others also spoke on the occasion.
